Business Travel Tip: Reducing Food Costs

Category: Travel Tips – Tags: , , – Lisa Brown – 12:00 pm

One of the huge advantages to using corporate housing is the presence of a fully equipped kitchen. This can be a life-saver for your expense account, as you can cook your own meals at home instead of eating out. However, when you do have to eat out, here are some tips for keeping the costs to a minimum:

1. Use websites like Valpak and Hot Coupons for free restaurant coupons.
2. Purchase an Entertainment Book at Entertainment.com. Entertainment Books run around $15-20, and you can preview the restaurants that have coupons in the book before you buy it.
3. Earn free airline miles or cash rewards with Rewards Network at RewardsNetwork.com. The program rebates 10-20% off of your restaurant bill for the equivalent number of airline miles or as a cash reward.

Although no one wants to break out the coupon book when they’re treating a client to dinner, when dining alone or with a family that’s visiting, it can be an alternative to eating in.
